Lunar Pines

Hello! Welcome to Lunar Pines. I am a former behavior analyst, turned nonprofit fundraising events manager, living in the Western suburbs of Chicago with my husband, two cats and stepdog. Ever since I can remember, I've always drawn or painted or created something because it made me happy. Growing up with a resourceful father who always had a fix or idea for something, creativity runs in my blood. Being an adult with ADHD, creating and working with my hands is also something that is necessary to my existence. 

Lunar Pines was created as a quarantine hobby. My husband, a kidney transplant patient, was hospitalized in April 2020 with what we presume was Covid. He was on a ventilator for a week, and we honestly almost lost him. He was there for a month, and I could not see him at all during that time due to visitor restrictions. I needed something to support my mental health during an extreme time, something I could pour myself into in order to pass the days. Once he was home, the hobby continued as we navigated a pandemic, remote learning, and change after change. Over time, LP has become more than a hobby to me, and I am working towards eventually making it a full-time career!

Operating from the belief that chicks can do cool stuff, along with a love for woodworking passed down from my dad, and a dash of my own unique touch - Lunar Pines provides a variety of home decor offerings. From geometric wood art to functional but pretty pieces to = handpainted florals, I've got your walls covered (see what I there?). I focus as much as I can on using recycled materials, from discarded trim to fencing to whatever else I can find!
